Library Description
Version 1.0 of the PA14NR Set is a subset of approximately 5800 mutants from the
PA14 parental library, in which a single mutant with a transposon insrted
in a particular gene has been chosen to represent that gene. Each mutant in the PA14NR
Set has been colony purified during library
assembly to minimize cross-contamination.
The PA14NR Set growth conditions were optimized to keep phenotypic variant
population sizes at a minimum.
The PA14NR Set is ordered in a convenient 96-well format
(approximately 65 96-well plates) for easy screening
either with or without the use of automation equipment. Furthermore,
the majority of the mutants in the
library are TraSH-compatible allowing users to monitor the absence and
presence of pooled mutants under various test conditions.
Current Availability
The Ausubel lab will no longer directly distribute the library. The library
will now be available for distribution by Lael Yonker, MD and
Bryan Hurley, PhD of the
Mucosal Immunology and Biology Research Center at
MGHfC.
